Modelling
Modelling can be a fun yet daunting practice, especially if you are employed in a third world country. We have seen just about every shady model practice in the flesh. This might include models being mistreated by agents, who demand a hefty portion of the model fee for merely scouting talent. Although we like the notion that agents are paid, and are a necessary part of the modelling industry, there are more ethical procedures to follow in the long run to protect the models themselves. One of our prospective models had to travel a considerable distance, but we called the deal off because the agent was being unreasonable.
Our actual model shoot days are a lot of fun. We try our best to set reasonable hours, and we take care of the health and safety of our models with great zeal. I am often at the shoots myself, to make sure that the models are being treated well, are in line with our artistic vision in the realm of makeup and hair, and most importantly, that they look stunning when wearing our beautiful clothes. Our models are a part of our identity, and are one of the best parts of clothing production. We have fun by ordering junk food, passing a smartphone around so we can take turns listening to different music during the shoot, and even collaborating outside of the artistic vision.
Models and the company share a special relationship. At the end of the day, we are both involved in the same dream, which is to allow others to share our vision of beauty, no matter the color of your skin or your sexual orientation. The most important thing is safety and the prevention of exploitation. We keep in touch with all of our models, and hope to have them involved in many forthcoming shoots in the near future. We want our models to be in line with our company’s motto that anyone can be beautiful, no matter who they are.
